Card: Card (from Greek ?????? - chart?s, "paper, papyrus") primarily refers to an entire or piece of card stock.

Graduation is one of the most important events in a child?s life. It symbolizes intellectual progress and accomplishment. And unless you belong to a family who loves?and could afford?to host large parties,? celebrating the graduation of your preschooler is most commonly celebrated on a much smaller degree. However, it is a must that your child feels extra special on his special day.

  • You should show that you are proud of him. Give your child a reward, a gift or do something he would love. This builds up the child?s desire to graduate because he is rewarded because of it and perceives it to be a good thing. You can continue or start family traditions, and give a one-of-a-kind party for your preschooler. Make your child his favorite breakfast. And ask your child his feelings about graduating. Give the child comfort if he is nervous. Explain the importance of this event as a milestone, as well as the importance of education, in your child?s life.
  • Make your child feel like he is the star. Allow the child to dress up with his favorite formal attire unless required by the school otherwise. If he wants to bring a stuffed animal or a security blanket, permit him to do so. Your pre-schooler is the star today, and he must feel it. You can also send out thank you notes with or without tokens of appreciation to the teachers of your kid. This shows that you are grateful for the efforts of the teachers to provide your child with the best learning. Consider involving your child in making the cards for the teachers. ?
  • Keep your child and his friends connected. Do this especially over the summer vacation. You could also get the number of the parents of those children after the graduation rites. This makes arranging play dates possible and easier by keeping in touch with the children?s parents. You can talk to the other parents and simply host a reception at school so that your children would be able to celebrate together. Another way could be a small gathering at home for close family and friends for a more intimate celebration with all his favorite dishes.
  • Decorate the house to his liking. Maybe put a bubble blowing machine or two, or colorful balloons. Involve your child in the decision making as it may make him feel important because of the importance of his personal decisions, unless the party is a surprise.
  • Eat out. As an alternative to having a party at home, you can eat out at your child?s favorite restaurant. You can go somewhere special, afterward, like his favorite play place. You might also want to give your child a gift-something special he has always wanted, like a toy or a book.

Make sure that you take the time to document these moments. Keep them in an album for the later years. Looking back always helps when going through something big in the future and it?s moments like these that would be lovely to share with their own children in the future.
