Who doesn't want to be rich? Every man and woman was born with the instinctive desire to fill their lives with good things, and there is nothing wrong with that. There are certain people who mistakenly think that to want more than the bare minimum in life is noble and acceptable - they couldn't have been more wrong. It is this kind of thinking that will give you a less than fulfilling and unsatisfactory life. If you don't know it yet, let me tell you today Friend-- your destiny is wealth. Few people know who Jabez is - indeed there are about 4 lines written about his life in the whole world and it is only found in the Bible (1 Chronicles 4:10). This was his prayer: "Oh, that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!"

Jabez is Hebrew for 'cause of pain'-- imagine that, your own mother naming you 'pain'. It did not stop Jabez from reaching and wanting more out of his life. He cried out to God for enlarged territory and blessings which we can read as increased influence and favor to surround his life. Observe that he did not stop there. Jabez asked God that he may not be what his name said he was - a source of pain. His short biography ended well as we see in the last line of the verse: God granted him what he requested.

What lessons can we draw from this man who had many things going against him? When you pray for prosperity, it will surely come if you believe. It is possible to for anyone, whatever your past may have been. Believe that God is not only powerful enough to give you good things; He is good enough to want it even more than you do. Understanding His nature is the beginning of unshakeable faith that can move whatever mountains you face.

To receive prosperity, you need to know your God intimately, understand your divine right, be bold in your requests and be a source of blessing for others. You will be surprised at what you can achieve and have. Remember, you were not meant just to live a life of success - you were meant to live a life of significance.
