Context - The team of Logica Business Consulting UK (LBC UK) Oil & Gas expertise consists of people with specialist Subsurface, Wells, Engineering and Asset Operational experience from the Upstream Oil and Gas industry, as well as a number of downstream retail domain specialism's. Our Business Consulting capability focuses on Sustainable Business Models, Security, Applied Business Intelligence, Business Transformation and Change, and Future IT.

Role Description - As a Oil & Gas business consultant, you will work with a group of highly qualified individuals in consulting and very closely with the Oil and Gas industry account managers. You will also work with our Professional Technical Services and Outsourcing Logica business lines where their focus is within the Oil & Gas industry. As the business consultant for your domain specialism, you will translate domain knowledge and expertise into value added business strategy, solutions and pull through for the wider Logica organisation. The ability to lead, inspire and motivate people is essential. In addition, you will be responsible for taking our Logica offerings to market and developing new lines of business consulting capability, supervise projects and where appropriate the acquisition process for new capability. A key part of your role will be to generate new revenue stream through your extensive network of business contacts in the Oil & gas industry. You report to the LBC UK O&G team lead.
Qualities required Leadership, coaching, and a broad perspective on the Oil and Gas sector are a prerequisite. A thorough knowledge of the surface and subsurface processes in the oil and gas industry are essential for all Upstream Oil and Gas roles and you will ideally have a university degree in a relevant discipline, such as (technical) earth sciences.

Candidate will have proven knowledge and understanding of engineering Information/Data Management gained through work in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry. They may have worked for an oil company, service company or consultancy but will have specific knowledge of capital/major projects and facilities management and will be familiar with tools such as Maximo, AvevaNet and related data.
Candidate should demonstrate a good understanding of the Information Management Processes for engineering Information Lifecycle Management (from Inception, through Projects, Operations, Maintenance, Modification and to Disposition of Asset (including dashboards).
The ability to understand the Owner/Operators requirements for engineering Information Management is essential for the Business case development and design phases of the programme.
Deep domain knowledge and understanding of inter-relationship between the Business requirement and IT is essential.
The role comprises business development, consultancy provision, delivery of service and project execution.
One role is Aberdeen based, the other London based however candidates must be willing to travel and work away from home for extended periods if required for client delivery work.
